It's about knowing your target market and what appeals to them, which is a process in itself. Anyone who says "I want to target everyone" is getting it wrong. By focusing on yourself, you're really only targeting one person - you, and when you are the only one buying your own products - well, you ain't got much of a business now, do you? So true.
